?What happens if I damage the equipment?
Minor wear and tear is expected and covered. If there's damage, it's assessed during inspection and repair costs are deducted from your deposit. You'll receive a detailed breakdown with photos. Major damage may require additional payment beyond the deposit.
?Can I extend my rental period?
Yes! You can extend anytime through the app or by contacting the owner. Extensions are subject to availability and will be charged at the same daily rate. Just request before your rental period ends.
?What if the equipment breaks during my rental?
If equipment malfunctions due to normal use (not misuse), contact the owner immediately. They'll arrange a repair or replacement at no cost to you. Your rental fee may be paused during repairs.
?How long does it take to get my deposit back?
Standard refunds take 5-7 business days. The owner has 72 hours to inspect, then SmartQuip processes the refund. Express refunds (24-48 hours) are available for SmartQuip Plus members.
?What's included in the insurance?
All rentals include basic equipment insurance at no extra cost. Optional premium coverage is available for high-value items (covers theft, loss, and accidental damage beyond normal wear).
