Yes, you need to create a free account to book equipment. This ensures security and allows you to track your rentals.
How do I list my equipment?▼
Sign up as an Equipment Owner, go to your dashboard, click "Add Equipment," fill in the details, upload photos, set your pricing, and submit for verification.
Pricing & Payments
What payment methods are accepted?▼
We accept credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard), instant EFT, and mobile money through Karat Dollar. All payments are secure and PCI-DSS compliant.
How does the commission structure work?▼
Equipment owners pay a commission on completed rentals: Basic (18%), Professional (15%), or Enterprise (12%) depending on their subscription tier.
When do equipment owners get paid?▼
Owners receive payment within 48 hours of rental completion, after deducting the platform commission.
Are there duration discounts?▼
Yes! Longer rentals get better rates: 10% off for 4-7 days, 15% off for 8-14 days, 22% off for 15-30 days, and up to 35% off for 60+ days.
Insurance & Safety
Is insurance included?▼
Yes! All rentals include basic insurance coverage up to R5,000. Premium protection plans are available for full replacement value.
What if the equipment is damaged?▼
Minor damages are covered by insurance. The security deposit may be used for repairs. Report any damage immediately through your booking dashboard.
How is equipment verified?▼
Equipment undergoes basic verification (photos & description) or professional verification (on-site inspection, safety certification) before listing.
Delivery & Returns
Is delivery available?▼
Many equipment items offer delivery. Free delivery within specified radius (usually 50km), with fees beyond. Check each listing for delivery options.
How do I return equipment?▼
Return equipment by the end date via pickup or delivery (as selected during booking). Ensure equipment is in good condition for full deposit refund.
